Tattoos & Other Designs

This tattoo is inspired by Fall Out Boy's song "What a Time to Be Alive." I got the idea for a lightning bolt going through a doodled brain when I heard the line "everything is lit but my lightning bolt brain." I chose a neol light font because of the line "I'm glowing neon in the nighttime." This is a tattoo I intend to get someday when I can.

This tattoo is inspired by a Jonas Brothers song called Rollercoaster. The song is about them as a family, their good and bad memories growing up. The lyrics that inspired me most say,

It was fun when we were young and now we're older
Those days that are the worst, they seem to glow now
We were up-and-down and barely made it over
But I'd go back and ride that roller coaster with you

I wanted this tattoo to be in a very simple, minimalistic style to make it easy to translate The rollercoaster is made of simple lines and the cars are just boxes. I colored the cars with the birthstones of my mom and my ten siblings (including myself). The colors are taken from my Personal Brand.

I lovingly refer to this gal as Tree Person. She is an ancient creature made from mechanical parts who protects the forest.. She was partially inspire by Stephen King's Guardians of the Beam. I created her with clipping masks, and I used a great deal of dodging and burning to create facial features and details. I feel like I sculpted her out of an image of moss. Tree Person is a fantastic sample of my illustrative abilities.
